Corrosion Control

Common rust is oxidation of Fe. Water has dissolved oxygen. When it interacts with steel, it causes red rust, Fe2O3. The traditional methods used to control this have limited results.

ULF treatment promotes formation of the oxide Fe3O4 which is black in colour and is called magnetite. This radical method protects the steel surface similar to Al2O3 protecting Al. It does not require any consumable and any monitoring.
